40 ford convert

    hi guys im looking for someone with a 1940 ford convertible I want some pictures of the clyinders for raising and lowering the top

    I know the clyinders are on avalible on ebay.

    but some pics of how it goes together would be nice also the controls to acctivate it thanks IanH

    There are pictures on them on ebay now.Your best bet is to find someone in your area with a 40 convert & check it out, or find a 39-41 ford body parts book, as most have diagrams in them.

    Hi lakes I live in Australia I've heard of 3 here in OZ but I havent seen one yet

    My dad has a 40 convert and also has the cylinders you speak of as well. I'll try and get some pics.

    do you have pictures of the cyl top balance spring? i have a generic pic from an old motors manual.i think we pics of before resto.
