No kidding. That car is "spot on" as our friends over the pond would say.

I really like seeing those flattys painted in industrial/Ford gray. For whatever reason that gray just really looks right and highlights the engine compartment nicely.

    Definitely a great example.

i feel that building a car in 2010 period perfect is virtually impossible. We will all be 99% ers. here is my 2009 period perfect. this is just an opinion.

period perfect means doing it the way it was done back then. not just the correct parts used.

  19. I think it's funny. Say I could build the perfect 40's hot rod, the only post 1950 part I use is a t-5 trans behind the flattie. everyone loves it. But some guy with a sweet roadster gets bashed for some headlight stands.....

Makes me think I could get away with a modern power plant and some hood sides. maybe LS1? since you can't see it, it must be period perfect, right?

    >>>>>,My daily driver ,,for the last 5 years ,,,'27 all steel Tall T,,'68 350 4 bolt truck block ,,'63 Fuelie 'Vette heads ,,'68 Isky 550 Super LeGarra cam,,'67/'68 BDS-Wieand "Bastard" Blower ,,S/W Wings guages ,,
tried to keep it as '60's period correct as possable ,,but really hard to do these days ,,,gotta get what you can get ,,cheap ,,so,,it has '73 Jag bucket seats ,,'70's GM tilt column ,and those new 18 inch wide M/T Sportsman II directional tread rear tires & new Speedway hedders ,,,but the flames/scallopes n pinstriping is by me,,like i did in hi-school in the late '50's early '60's ,,
Is there REALLY a Perfect "Daily Driver" Period Correct Car ?? 'cept maybe what's in those museums ???
oh well ,,we try eh ???
