  1. That #2JR. coach is neat looking. Looks like Tommy Elliot was on the roof in one pic.

    Now I personally think this looks way cooler than a pickup and trailer.

    This is traveling 1st class.

    Hey john56h!
    Do you know anyone who may have similar photographic history of dirt modifieds and supers from the original Devil's Bowl Speedway in Dallas, TX?
    The "new" Devil's Bowl, circa 1970 forward, has catered to the World of Outlaws style of racing. I am trying to reconstruct the days of the guys who raced because they loved racing.

    Thanks for the great photos.

    Hey that's me in the 2. First time out. March 1973 at Reading, and I still have the car.

  19. WOW!!!!! :cool::cool:

    That's super rare to have owned a race car that long. How many years did you race?

    That group shot is Riverhead when it was dirt, the cars are between 3&4.
    My father, Jack Reinhard, is the first on the bottom row right side and Long John Mileski is the 5th. from the left in the rear row. The picture is not complete, there is quite a bit more to the right. I have a copy of it and it is a pretty large landscape format print.

    Harold Seaman knows quite a few of the other drivers by face as he was there all the time in that era and was around 10 or so.

    John Mileski's car is the 20, Fred Gallo in the 19, Fred Kart and Bill Kart are the 69 & 96 ( I think Fred may have been the 69), it may be Leo Ceckowski Sr. in the 56. The part of the picture not seen has Cliff Tyler Sr. in the 8 ball.

    This picture was hanging up in our garage forever.

  22. Pete, I thought i was blown away with the early Wagner photos but that group photo at the Head, WOW!

  23. Anyway to get the other half that you know of? I can't express in words what I think of that photo. Awesome piece of racing history.

    DO you know the year that the Riverhead Group picture was taken? The reason I ask is that my father ran there I believe on and off during the years 1962-1964.

    Frank, I started racing in 1966 at Middletown, N.Y. and got priced out in 1985. I don't know why, but I kept the car. Glad i did.
