OK, so I have this Edsel that I KIND OF want to do a little customizing on. I don't have any set ideas yet, so I thought I'd let you guys use your creative imagination on it.

  4. You´re a braver man than I am to even consider cutting into that!

What sort of things were you considering?

Yeah, I know it's kind of sacraligious to cut into a perfectley fine old car like this. That's why I said I'm only thinking about it. I do want to make it more of a custom though, but not sure what to do.

Maybe shave the handles, do something with the front grill, maybe some skirts, different color combos. Don't think I really want to chop it. Just want it to be a little different and not so stock.

Looks fine as a frog hair like it is,I think I would find one that needs some work and go wild with it,many people only dream of getting a car to the look that has already been achieved with this one.

I have to agree with what everyone else has said. Other than little touches here and there, I can't imagine what I could do to make it look better than it already is.

Those are just old ford hubcaps I drilled holes in and added the bullets.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, that's why I was a little unsure if or what I wanted to do.

  10. Well lets just see about this old Ford shall we? Lovely though it is, I think I can do something with it. Minor dechroming, rolled pan and dumped the bulky front bumper for slim quarter bumpers, tunnelled lights (it´s a Kustom after all), tapered and extended the hood over the grille shell and dicked around with the side chrome.

WOW, James that looks great. I really didn't think, like others have said, that there was much to do to it. I really like the roll pan and smaller bumpers. Having the headlights frenched is also a neat little custom feature that adds to the overall look.

DutchDude is right though, the rear bumper looks out of place now. I'm going to save this picture for a future project. Really like it!!!

    Dutch,
I believe the only thing that will help this is the crusher. The Mustang IIs are beyond ugly duckling. Maybe if you just hid it somewhere, like Lithuania.

Anybody bored on a Saturday Afternoon. Just got it to Roller last week, looking for gaudy 60's, flake, panels, whatever. Thanks in advance. It will be gettin white wall pie crust cheaters, and yes, I will be bobing the rear fenders if they end up staying. First day on it's own wheels, lots of work to do

My thread is 60's style 1928 sedan NEW ROLLER, input / photoshop if you have any input
