I run 14" smoothies on an ECI disc kit on my 40 GMC.
First tie I tried to bolt them up the brakes hit the rims.
I found the caliper casting where the retainer pins go through stuck out way farther than they needed to in the direction of the rim and were basically "as cast" and not machined or cleaned up there at all.
So, I got out a grinder and a BFF (Big File) and shaped the "horns" down until I could mount the wheel and pass a piece of corrugated cardboard in between them just for flex and caliper movement insurance.
If they'er close to going on this remedy might work for you.

I am in El Paso, but I visit family in DFW pretty regularly... Are they 6 lug?

Yes these are 6 lug. I guess I need to take a pic of the new vs old rim so you can see the difference.
