My father bought this car new and used it for a shop truck. It was pretty beat when I got it in 86. By 90 my brother had hopped up the 350 and turned it into a street racer. AHS Class '87.

Has anyone seen it? Sold it back in 92 to some guy in Long Beach.

Graduated in '81 and was driving a '73 Gran Torino! Ya it was big but it was bad! Had taken a 351 Cobra Jet/c6 special out of a 72 torino cop car and replaced the 351w/fmx, also changed the 2.75 gears for 3:50's. Beleive it or not it quite a few Camero's and Mustang's wondering what the hell was in it! And the back seat was well used!:D

Hmm... well my junior year I had a '63 Electra 225, 4-door, but I sold that. I'm in my senior year now, and all I have is projects laying around. Man, I'm a failure.

  10. Don't know how cool it is to you but for me it was at the time. This is my first ride back in '72, a 1959 Volvo 544, kinda like an old Ford.

Class of '62 (where were you in '62:)). '29 coupe w/ '47flathead out of the school bus I rode to school on in first grade. My grandfather had the contract to haul school kids and I was the first on in the morning, last off at night. I rebuilt the engine, bored .080 over, 3/4 cam (yea, right;)), '39 toploader, 16" steelies w/whitewalls. I drove it the last two years of high school and the first two years of college. My girlfriend (my wife of 46 years) was the only one besides myself that could drive it. It was love at first powershift:cool: and knew it was meant to be.

I got the car when I was 15 (1977) and my father and I went through everything, body, engine, trans, everything. I had the car until 1986, sold it to a guy that ended up running it off the road and down into the woods and totalled it.

  23. Class of '81... silver blue metallic '64 Impala convertible w/ white top and matching blue bench seat interior. 327, 4bbl, 250 hp with a powerglide. Some people jokingly refer to big old cars as parade floats... but I actually lent mine out a couple of times for such as it was in really nice shape after I had it repainted it's original color... I'll have to scan a photo of it, sometime...
