I did a search to see if there were any threads concerning this and came up empty...

So here we go! Post up your Buick NAILHEAD powered hotrod, custom, drag car, lowrider etc.....

I'll start out......I'll update the pics as they get along in progress.

Heres a 31 Ford Tudor I'm building for a customer:

A bit of cornbinder on Ivo's 4 engine 4wd dragster. The turning knuckle housing/ stub axle housing are from a WW2 1 ton IHC USMC cargo truck. I was told this, and the picture seems to confirm it.

A 401cu.in. in it's original form. My 64 Electra Duece-N-Quarter. For a big ass sled, it get's up and goes. Bone stock 401 with a 400 turbo and Posi rear. Cool cruiser. Anybody want to buy it??? Back in the 60s I also had a 55 Chevy 210 2 Dr with a 364 Nailhead and T-10 4 speed. Rewoked front spindles to give it the gasser look. Could pull the front wheels in 2nd gear. Sorry I can't find a old photo.

Just can't resist another Nailhead thread. Here's mine back in '60 at a car show and below it, the same set of wheels back on the road after fifty years without the white spare tire cover. It's not a hot rod anymore, it's a museum piece that drives.

I will start with a bump! I'm building a 401 for my 40 pickup project. I have over 487 photos of nailheads in one file. Couple of my favs. And yes they are stolen and some from HAMB members.

Russ is a Nailhead Guru ... He opened his Centerville Auto Repair shop in 1979 ... in the Centerville district of my hometown of Fremont, CA ... he's since moved to the Sierra foothill community of Grass Valley (which during the start of the Gold Rush was known as Centerville).

There's a bunch more pics of Nailhead-powered vehicles on his C.A.R. & Nailhead Buick website ... and don't forget to checkout his catalog of Nailhead parts & accessories.
