wow that sucker is sick, good stance ,give us some details

  6. Please tell me this car will keep the stance it has and it will NOT " LAY LAME" oh sorry I meant " LAY FRAME". That would be a true crime on such a car.

  7. Very cool car! Love the stance! Taildraggers rule.

Thanks guys. I still am undecided on the rocker-fender treatment. I am leaning towards the full fades. The car will not get bagged but I am going to replace the front suspension with something else at some point. The converter seal is leaking so I may swap the motor for something else again, have to pull it out anyway. I hope to do a bunch of traveling this summer so I am trying to minimize down time. I have a lead on a nasty olds with six dueces and 13.1 compression wich would require a piston swap, mounts, exhaust, adapting to trans etc. and I also have a 6-71 383 stroker on the stand that i could throw in over a weekend. I am liking fast and easy at the moment.

I went to the US-60 Drags in Hardingsburg Kentucky this weekend and ran a 8.03 @ 90 mph in the 1/8th with 2.56 rear gears !. Too much fun! It was a three hour trip and got 13.5 mpgs. TYhis was a great first year event.[IMG]

Great results on an under appreciated body style. One of the coolest in my book, but for some reason under built model. The car projects a bad ass appeal and aggressive attitude. I am totally knocked out with everything you have done. Congrats on super vision in the build and hope you enjoy all the jaw dropping looks that sleek baby is going to create. Thanx for sharing the bad boy with us. Rock on bro. ~Sololobo~

    This just keeps getting better!

The old magazines often referred to this kind of car as a "triple threat" (Street/Strip/Show).

I'm amazed at the performance on the 1/8 mile track with the 2.56 gears.
You obviously have it dialed in really well.

Any plans to see what she'll do with race gearing?

(And did you leave those Sombreros on at the track?)

    Thanks fellas. Solobob-much appreciated.
No plans for racing gears, but I am going to find out what it will do in the quarter this weekend. I may flip the pulleys and see what happens. I am hoping for high 11,s. Thye Road Rockets are hosting a flag drag this weekend @ Muncie Dragstrip.

Best run was 12.5 @ 109 spinning like hell on the www's. Something like a 2.6 60 foot time, hahaha Next time I go I am planning to run the slicks. Put more advance in it and removed the air cleaners and got my 1/8th time within a few hundreths of what I ran at US 60 even with the extreme spinning. I had a huge scare- end of the last pass I had 0 oil pressure. Screwed around and caught a ride back to Indy to get a trailer and got it home. Pulled the pan and the oil pump bolt had come loose.? No damage done thank god I caught it in time.
Drove it to Beatersville this weekend and had a great time.

I just saw this thread for the first time. I LOVE your car.....it's the nicest overall package i've seen in a long time, every line is just perfect. And to see it get up and go is just sick...fantastic job man....real skills.
