Sold my C-10 last year & was in search of a new project! . Love the early fifties trucks. What you think ???
I love these... I was lookin at a few of these before i bought the wagon... Looks pretty solid... Lots of potential.. Whats your plans?
Planning a clean up, has front floor issues. Its mostly original, 6 cyl. with 3spd. maybe trying to crank the engine & see if it will run. Just picked it up yesterday. I'll be posting the progress as I move forward. Maybe satin black or satin green with some tan steelies, lowered. It will certainly be a driver!! Thanks, for any input!
These old Suburbans are very cool. I have a 58. Here is a link to a great place to get parts, http://www.classicparts.com/
Looks great. I have a 50 chevy truck ALL original I am down on the south side of GA ( by JAX FL ) and have some intakes, exhaust and other engine parts for the 235 inline if you intend to use it. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.
Black primer and red wheels, no way! That has been done way to much already, go a different route and stand out. Satin paint is fine but dont do the primer thing.
The engine is there, looks to be original & never been removed. The trans was in the back laying on the floor. Its pretty solid except the front floors. I just came in from cleaning out the inside. still has the little short passenger seat that folds forward to access the rear area. I think this is going to be a fun project!!!!
Cool project! Good friend and member Butcherted has a Burb with the clam shell rear doors. Except for the rusty brake parts and wheels that needed replaced, it was in great shape. They just make a radical push truck or great party wagon for your friends. Keep us posted with your progress please!
Cool we have gained another AD truck guy in the midst. Nice looking start on a new project. keep us posted on progress.
