Last week I brought out an old project (the lil Falcon) and started on the 57 Chevy. Parts Pack 427 in the Ford and not sure on the 57 yet. The roadsters I got in one bag at a show/swap a couple of weeks ago. I want to restore the Black Widow and I started to changed the motor and wheels on the 32 Chevy and then I took it all apart. The lil T bucket I am not sure what I will do yet.
I haven't built any models for years. Seein' them on the HAMB,seein' old friends from the old model club, haven' a friend build a cool 1:1 Model A truck, not workin' on the 1:1 coupe,pick-up trucks at NNL East. That was enough to build a curbside, not much detail. Smokey
Macca, What kit did the chrome slots on the front of your Willys come from? Nice build! Like the skinny white walls on the front! Smokey
Great show guy's! I'll play small too.Been on a 1/64 diecast kick lately.Redid this beater matchbox TowJoe. Enjoy!
here are a couple that were finished this last year. the first one was done by my 11 year old son. He just took first place a hobby store model contest for his age group.
O.k., I have to know. How did you do the scale pinstriping on the surfboard? It is absolutely perfect. -stick
just asking: why re-post the entire post? the pics are { right there } above your reply. it's not so distracting if there's only a couple of posts, but some days this thread runs 5-6 pages or more and full length re-pops over and over.... ahhh screw it. all nice work, soon as i get some more done i'll post a few more of mine. too much rain today, so it's off to the model bench.
This is my working CO2 car I made a few years back. The race was for the Welding Instructors at my College to make the cars and race. I ended up building it for him and since I had creative control I decided to go for show over go. it rans the slowest time but was by FAR the coolest CO2 car around. The whole frame I TIGed together and cannibalized a Duece model for the rest.
Some shots from our M.A.M.A. meeting yesterday. I'm turning the new Revell BelAir into a mild custom 210. Ron Roberts' Monogram Model A coupe. Not sure if you could legally tag it in Maryland, but Dave Zinn's truck has some great work in it. Bill Stilwagon's beautiful custom. Old, fat guys buying plastic.
Pics from the model contest and swap meet in Cedarville Illinois last Sunday... Scott Baldauf (aka Stick Shift) puts together this show every year, and, with the help of his family and a handful of volunteers, each year it gets better and better.... Definitely one of my favorites!!!! This year's swap meet featured more vendors (So many that a second room was added!)... There were many great deals to be found everywhere! The contest room was absolutely filled with entries from all over Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and even Missouri.... Not bad for a small town show, eh!!! Here is just a samplig of some of the cars at today's contest... More Pics At The Link....... http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/marty1961/Model Shows/Cedarville 2010/
Bumpstick, Sorry I can't take credit for the pinstriped board.Borrowed it from a Jada dunebuggy for a prop.
Great work guys, I have got to get back into building these. I haven't built any since I was a teenager, what is everybodys thoughts on who has the best kits out there right now and what kits would be real detailed?
I like the AMT. They have a wide selection of old school rides. Egay has a ton of model kits and at good prices too.
You guys are spending way too much time on those models. Get out in the garage and work on some real ones. Just Kidding. Awesome work guys!!
Thats Awesome! I have Barracuda that has bean on the back burner.I was going for a look similar to your build. I think it's time to blow off the dust on the Cuda. Thanks for the inspiration.
Well I know this isn't really HAMB related but it's what I'm finishing up on...... Ok guys and gals, here's some more of this rod!!!! Lift is all built from a John Deere back hoe boom and some Evergreen plastic. Gotta love a little ingenuity!!!!! Decking in bad has been painted silver since photos were taken.....
