Coker / BFG 205/60-15 and 235/70-15 radials. I had bias plies, but it drove like shit and the tires wore out quickly (5.60-15s front). For a fendered car that you drive where you can't see much of the tire anyway, I highly suggest the radials.

Front end it a '42 complete with the spring in front still. Rear end is also a '42 and will run the spring behind. In front it runs the square '42 spindles along with '52 F1 front barkes.

I did this for a couple of reasons, 1st was it was easy to drop the car this way because the spring is lower than being on top of the axles and 2nd, you can use a set of longer shackles to get more drop if needed, cheaper that a dropped axle and reverse eye spring and I lost almost 5" doing it this way.

I'll have the rear axle complete this week with all new brake parts I'm putting together now, cylinders, shoes, drums, all '42 stuff.

I had the rear cross member moved back 7" to make up for the rear spring being moved back and and kicked up also, frame should be done next week. This will keep the wheels located in the rear openings where the fenders would have mounted.

Drop me an email and I'll send you some more pictures if you like, [email protected].

  30. Mine are 8.00 14" BFG BiasPly's. The pics at the car wash are on my wedding day. I figured if I had the white walls nice and bright, it would take your eye off the "ugly" car!
