Great... just great... Now I have one more project to start someday. Awesome work so far, that thing will get alot of attention. Nice to see you're thinking of an older trailer eventually. A trailer behind this thing needs nice curves on the roof and on the front leading edges to compliment the cab of the truck. Keep up the good work!

We almost scrapped the bumper from our parts bus.

I'm glad we didn't because it ended up fitting the Mack really well after we narrowed it a few inches.

We added some aluminum checker plate to the top.

We also added a strip of metal along the bottom for some small LED lights. We only had three lights but we'll get more.

Same here. My dad had a new B 61 in 1957 with a duplex and I made a few trips with him. He drove for Tower Lines out of Wheeling WV. I love this build.

Absolutely gorgous! You've just built the B-model
Mack 'dream truck" that I've been building in my
head for several years!!!I love the Cat-yellow
painted International DT466 too! Wondering about
the original origin of this truck? The city of Hamilton
Ontario had some, first red and then later re-painted
pale-yellow, B-model Mack firetrucks with factory
chrome plated rad shells at one time. Was your truck
originaly a City of Hamilton firetruck??

No, we got it here in Ontario but it was in Texas for it's entire working working life.
It started out in Conroe Texas and later went to Ponder Texas. You can still see the name on the door in this picture.

  7. Killer truck, and cool pooch! My 1st bulldog lived to be 10. I just got my second bulldog. At 12 weeks young he's 20lb. His front paws are frigging huge. So far he likes to hang out in the garage with me, even when I beat on stuff with hammers.

  8. Wow, this truck is looking great!! Love the subtle chicken lights across the bumper too!! The bumper fits really nice.

    Maiden voyage soon???

Sweet looking truck! You're going to be the center of attention when you pull up in that.

  12. My case of Truck Envy continues unabated.

Adopt me. Please! I'm potty-trained, eat with utensils, able to use tools, and want that truck really, really bad!:D

Ever thought about building these as a sideline of sorts?

Jim, Your Mack is going to be one neat hauler ! Looking forward to seeing it when it is completed. You can put me down for one of the Winston Racing Team shirts (size large)!
Hope Winston has a very long and happy life with you.

We finally got the box on and pushed the Mack out into the sunlight to wash the dust off of it.
We should have it running under it's own power in a few days.

I had to get Winston the Bulldog into the picture.

The box isn't finished yet. It's going to get an aluminum checker plate floor and some spray in box liner on the sides.

Wow. Most awsome build up for a hauler I have seen in a while. I dream for the day I could even do a fraction of that!
