Been a member here for a while but not too active, time for a change! Was introduced into the word of Hot Rods by good ole' Uncle Joe (R.I.P); while in my youth he would take me to swap meets and car shows and "secret" junkyards. He always had the coolest cars around, buick 401 nailheads, 61 bubbletop, fastback mustangs, 58 Impala 348, that's what I grew up to appreciate. First car was a 68 Merc Cougar 302 that was my daily driver for years in the early 90's till I blew the motor up and sold it. So two years ago i traded a 91 Harley for a 51 3 window Chevy truck that someone restored and Hot Rodded a little. I have had to redo a lot of the wiring and fix several other things. My plans are to drop the front and rear, Sid is sending me a 4" drop axle in 2 weeks and I am painting a set of original steel wheels with trim rings and skinnier white wall tires. It has a 1962 327 smallblock in it with edelbrock carb and 350 trans, Also I am switching out the stock 4:11 rear for a 3:08 from a 68 Chevy truck to keep it all 6 lug. Here are pics.... I am inviting any one in the area to our local car show every Thursday night in the parking lot at Kagan's Furniture on main st in downtown High Point, a good mix of cars and trucks there starting this Thurday and running every Thursday night about 6 all Summer!!
