Trying to use all pre-'62 parts, needed to build seat mounts for the 1959 Volvo buckets and their original sliders.
One of the reasons some early drag cars painted the undersides white was because it was easier to see what was going on before little problems became big problems. Here it makes it easy to see the hand brake cable routing.
Bought this back in '06 from a fella here on the board that found it sitting in a barn in Southern Ca. for 40+ years. This is what we started with. Almost no rust with the exception of a couple quarter size areas in the lower cowl sides.
I had to have the wheel centered in the well. Not as easy as it seems or so I found out. I wanted the tire to come out a little too.
The sub frame design gives new meaning to bird cage as in "Birdcage Maserati" ... nice work ... looks a little over built ... Joe

Removed the tank from the cowl and made the cowl removable to access the brake and clutch cylinders and all the stuff that needed to be hidden but gotten to easily. Cowl Hoop for mounting everything but necessary for the Kugel pedal assembly.
Keep em coming, I was wondering what happened to this car. Circle City has their shit together, to put it simple.
Recessed steel firewall was available off the shelf and thought about chroming it but for me, nothing does it like polished aluminum . Some cardboard and several sheets of aluminum with Jimmy welding gave us this. Fire wall is removable as is the cowl. That's a Joe Hunt mag, later converted to tach drive so I could hook it up to the vintage Jones tach.
