1938? Circle track Ford Found

A friend of mine found this on a some property he bought. Says if anyone wants it, he'll cut them a deal.

 

It would be cool to see what it looks like once pulled out of there.

 

Why is all this cool shit always on the other side of the country? I would take it in a heartbeat if I was closer. Pull it out and take some more pics. I see a whtewall on it in the rear? Did they use whitewalls for circle track racing?

 

If they tore up a tire, and your tow vehicle had one that was the right size, and it was a whitewall, I'll bet they did!

 

Back when that '37 jalopy was racing they ran whatever they had. Looks pretty solid in the pics.

 

Looks like a good builder, they didnt weld the doors shut and cutout openings .

 

Found these just yesterday in my travels. Going back on the track was the word I got from the owners...........

I have some race footage from the early 50's and some of the racers had wide whites all around..............

 

BTW, the car is on the east coast.....
