Its a very traditional design for a wood box actually....

    Great asthethics and function.

I remember making those in 6th grade wood shop...good little school....pittsburgh.

Along with alot of other very simple.... yet complex pieces.

Is the bottom piece flush with the sides....routered in.

Maybe Al's my old wood shop teacher Jerry Joseph....dude was rad.

way to go... bravo... I'd hate for the boss to spill anything on the way to Jalopy Journal World HQ

I am presently whipping up a console/cup holder for my Buick. I see a 24 hour drive in my future....

  9. That's some cool shit dude! I made one that doubles as an arm rest. You just turn it over and the cup holders are on the other side. I'll post some pic's when it's done...

Thats cool . You did good
Cup holders in hotrods are almost a necessity if you drive them a lot. i can't tell you how many times i have split a soda in my roadster from hitting the brakes or turning to quick. I found a dual unit at Manny Moe and Jacks that is black like the carpet and is very hard to see if you don't know it is there. No more spilled soda

Here'show I did mine. I use an insulated cup. I put velcro on the bottom and just stick it on the carpet. Works good, doesn't spill, very cheap.

  16. My number 1 go-to, if I feel the need for a cup holder.
