I know I've posted this car before, but I just wanted everyone to know that my wife has been driving the wheels off of this thing since it's been done. It is proving to be a fun, dependable car.

Sweet car!! You should paint something like "Strip Chick" on the side and give it to the "Little Woman" I can garantee she won't be mad any more.

It's a small price to pay to keep 'em happy. My wife of 21+ has let me do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. That car has been about the only thing she's ever asked for. How could I resist.

I am secure enough in my manhood that it don't bother me to drive the thing around with "Draggin'Lady" on the 1/4 panel, so it's kind of like I have a cool car too. I did have one guy say something about it being a girls car. That ended when I walked over to ask him just what it was he said. I'm pretty non- confrontational, but at 6'-7" 250lbs. Picking on me about driving a girls car, usually doesn't occour.

It wouldn't be the first time I have been picked on about driving a girls car either. When we were first married, I conned my new bride to be, into getting a red '86 5.0 GT Mustang 5 speed. She got a personal tag that said PEGS GT A guy at a gas station in a clapped out old Vega yelled to his buddy abou the fag driving a girls car. I got out, held one of my legs stiff and started limping towards the geek. I said it was my car and I have a wooden leg. People call me "Peg" any problems with that A hole? The guy felt instantly like total crap. He moped inside the mini mart and brought me out an apology 12 pack. I laughed all the way home.

This thread has certainly grown into one of my favorites on the H.A.M.B. site, I really mean it... Its developed into a wonderful illustration, in both words and pictures, of a genre of the drag racing family that so often gets unjustly overlooked-- It's just not right that more people don't fully appreciate the beauty and strength of these rebellious rides... I've always had a heartfelt affection for the Gassers... In most cases, they're big and sassy, and they travel down the drag strip with the grace of a wild & rambunctious elephant-- And I say that with much respect for the cars and the dandy folks who campaign them... Sure, diggers are cool, and floppers are f-f-fun-- But Gassers also deserve their rightful and respectful place in the "nostalgia" drag racing kingdom-- These cars will turn you on!!... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
