Thanks, I needed that. I've missed this race the last couple years.

 

I left early because it started to sprinkle. Driving through Gorman, it was freezing so I decided to leave early in case the pass got snowed in.

Now aren't you glad big brother Weeks talked to him for you lol. Awesome guy Ryan was to everyone. My girlfriend got her picture with him also earlier on in the day. Good times had by all who made the Meet this year.-Weeks

Doug I looked for you all day Sir. I kept thinking where is Doug at??? I wanted to show you my Model A. Pretty loud and I was getting alot of thumbs up driving around as I was one of 3 banger powered rides present. This was the first time I have brought it out to a public event. Crowd was lite for what I had hoped. Well I guess there is always Dragfest in May. You coming for that?

On the Ryan aka "Opie" deal I help a few local Hambers from time to time with stuff and they help me also. Mainly its us youngens keeping our rides rolling and we all linked up through the great board we have here. I was cordial about getting Ryan to take a pic. He is just a normal guy out enjoying the races.-Weeks

 

.....you wernt wrong,i left just before 4,had to go 40 miles west to taft to pick up the mum and hit grapevine by 5 where it rained hard till i got to riverside,and it did snow on the pass !

 

thats rad i wish we had the money to go this year

Weeks is one of the few I know that if you mention the word "Car", he's down to go see it or help fix it. Haha.

 

Ha, ha, I almost backed out because of the threat of rain. However, my wife wanted to go??? She said she never saw a drag race, so we went. She didn't like the dragster, but she liked the full bodied cars running. She said next time she wanted to see more hot rods running. I told her I'll take her to Dragfest and Mooneyes (LOL). She never cared for cars before but since she got laid-off, she goes everywhere with me (sigh).
