I've never done a post like this before, so it will probably suck!

Ive had this Cadillac for 6 years. I got it on a trade deal in California. It always had some tranny issues and i never drove it more then around the block in 2 second gear.

Fast forward to now. I'm in SW mo and decided it was time to build the damn thing. We first painted in about 2 years ago. typical trade deal. i did a bunch of metal work for the paint job. it came out horrible. dude lost his shop. it sat in my shop for 2 years, then he calls me out of the blue and says he wants to make it right.

We re shoot the whole son of a bitch, and it comes out alright, not perfect but a hell of alot better. He wants me to take it to my shop and he'll come over in a week once the clear is cured and sand and buff it. well that turns out to another disappearing act and 7 months later I decide to tackle it by myself. I fucking hate sanding!! 2 days later it sanded with 1,500 then 2,000 and buffed.

I needed to rebuild the tranny. so out came the motor and trans. I took off the whole front end and rebuild it with all new ball joints and bushings. KANTER sucks! I decided that i didn't like the heater core and some wires so i started to shave the fire wall, smoothed out the fender wells and blasted the frame. painted it all and reassembled.

I placed an add on my local craigslist a few months ago and wanted some old cragar, astro , rocket, tru spokes. A guy calls me out the blue and says I've got some tru spokes brand new NOS never been mounted from 1977, fucking a man same year i was born. I bought those few some new Firestone's on got my rolling stock covered.

Ive been getting all the bugs worked out of her, ie light sockets, switches, etc. Rebuilt the drive shaft today and still have a little noise from the rear end so I'm tearing into that tomorrow.

Hope this works out cause god damn its alot of work to post this shit, Denise i don't know how you do it Hun!

Sweet. My favorite shot is actually the first one with the blue before the scallops. Nice Caddy.

Lookin' good ryno! Hope to see you and your cars at the drags. My wife called off the move to Joplin last minute so we are staying put for now it seems, but she sure does want to go to the drags with me this year. Sure do like a blue and silver combo on ANY car, that was going to be the colors for my truck but the $750 worth of PPG I had for it got stolen from the last body shop I worked in .

Looks great, thanks for taking time for posting w/pics even though it is a hassle. Bet is wasn't as much work as all that sanding though !!!

Just to wash one of those boats and dry it is hard work, but we love them.

Sweet ride Ryno, love the colors. I was going to go with those exact colors and scallop scheme for mine but I think I will have to change that now, looks great but I don't want the same as yours...haha!
