    I was standing over by the rollers when this bad boy lifted a blower doing a burnout, I bet there wasn't a clean pair of shorts anywhere at Lions that evening...

    You're welcome. The same thing happened here to Surfers Paradise International Raceway. It's now an el cheapo flea market full of Chinese junk.

    I'm a little too young to have made it to Lions. My father took me to Sydney's Castlereagh Dragstrip in the early '70s. Dad was racing bikes there just after WWII when it was still an airstrip. I have some 35mm color slides dad took at the drags but I need to get them up on the computer.
