I'll be there in a 50 Merc, just pulled the engine yesterday so lots of work to do. Planning to have it chopped by Salina. Wish me luck I'll need it.

Very kool Kan't wait to see the new Merc. Dustin is working hard to try to make
the Merc Gathering. His 49 is looking bad ass....

We are getting a good response with the Merc gathering. I talked to Jerry Titus and
he is going to have a spot that we all can park together and we will have plenty of
shade to park 50 or more Mercs. Wouldn't that be kool........

Connie kit on a Comet? Kool!!

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Yeah this would be cool to know. Because I am most likely going to be sleeping in my car  on the way out and it would be nice to have a real bed to sleep in before I have to turn around and head back home :D.

Hold on a minnit Mick...IF you're saying there will be 800 other kustoms/rods there, then you're assuming you'll get 200 Mercs to show up to round out the 1000 car count expected...

I think there'll be over 1000 other cars...and 200 Mercs is a lot to get...is there that many in the Midwest...???

I'll be driving my Caddy looking "Merc" ...

    Hey Roger,

I said 800 Kustoms and Hot Rods, that would equal 1,600 Kustoms/Hot Rods. Sorry
for the confusion. Ha, ha, ha,.. I don't know if there is 200 Mercs in the Mid west
but there is a bunch of them. I'm hoping that we would get atleast 50 Mercs at the
show. That would be real kool start.....I kan't wait to see your Caddy.

    Happy Trails,

    You got plenty of time........

  16. I'm really looking forward to this year. The 30th anv. is special by itself but there is so much interest growing that we should see cars that haven't been there before.

1600 eh...??? And a few more Mercs and what a great kustom gathering the 30th would be...I hope that Salina park is big enuff for all of us...Jerry Titus would be overwhelmed (and delirious)...!!!

And wfo guy, I hope you are correct as well...Seems there is a great resurgence in (individuality) kustoms, guess everyone is tired of red '32's and flat blak Model A's...

Hey WFO, I agree with ya. Kustoms are gaining popularity because you can own
a kustomand not kill the budget. I started drving one everyday since 1980 and
I've had a blast. This fall I'll be teching my daughter how to drive a kustom, looking
forward to keeping the Kustom thing alive in the family.

Look out Salina this is going to be kool...

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

I don't know, the best thing would call KKOA or the local Chamber of commerce and get
some Hotel advice. I'm staying at the "Host" Best Western. Sorry I couldn't help ya....

I am getting my 51 Merc ready and will be there. It will be the first show for my Mercruy and me to attend. I chopped it different that anyone else. It was cut down the middle and I now have a one piece curved windshield! Where do I go to meet up with everyone with the Mercs??

"Wasn't anybody there, except me and "Lil Skeet"
