    "The easy way"

HAHAHA. Sorry, but that's why the 60-66 Chevy's are so popular. Coil springs all around are much easier to lower then leaf springs on all four corners (except '65 and '66 w/ Twin I beams up front).

    Good luck!

  2. What he said! ^^^

The 65 and 66's with the twin I-beam are a bitch. Gonna need lots of scratch or really good fab and welding skills. That is unless you dig negative camber and replacing tires. :D

A guy I went to high school with had a Ford that was that exact same colour, but I think it was a '58.
This was in the late 70's, so it kinda "stuck out", in a crowd.
Anyway, the local paper did a story on the ever increasing traffic afflicting the local cruising lanes in my area (Pacific Ave., Bremerton Washington, if anyone cares), during the weekend nights in the spring and summer months.
Anyway, the accompanying picture showed a bunch of cars lined up on the road, in the midst of cruising, and in the back, you could see this guys truck just plain as day.
Wouldn't have been a big deal except he had gotten in trouble with his folks and had his driving privilleges "lessened" (i.e., no crusin' for a while).
Well, his ol' man saw the pic, blew his top and ended up taking the keys to that truck for like a couple of months!
Oh man, that kid couldn't do anything for a while!
    :D

Here are a few photos of my baby, A 1964 Ford F110 4 door crew cab with a shortened bed.
Ford did not make this truck.

  15. Starting in 1957, Ford went to a cab-over that wasn't a derivative of the F-series body style...

I've always liked the looks of those C-series cabovers. It's interesting that the design stayed pretty much the same for so many years - all the way from 1957 to 1990. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_C-Series

Yes the steering wheel IS on the wrong side!
The bed has been blasted and is in the process of being 'rebuilt' :D
4xCragar S/S are sitting in the shed waiting until it's been painted, then it'll be some interior touches.

If my brain is working, those crew cabs were specialty makes in those days. Railroad trucks mostly and super rare, right? Pretty cool.

    Schuyler,
good looking 65 you have there, doesn't look like a Midwest truck to me.

Thanks! It has spent most of its life in and around Georgia....as far as I know. Luckily it hasn't been worked to death, and for the past 20 years that it has been in my family, it's been in a garage!

Here's my '61 Uni. Starting on the 292 Y-block for it. going to keep it simple compared to the '57 or the Falcon.
