My honest opinion is....do your homework. Study all the books and online photos till a certain look catches your eye. That's what you build. You will know when you see it. I myself, would go with the traditional gasser look.... good luck, enjoy.

Much like a Henry J, Anglias were born to be gassers.

Send it to me. Old cars like that should be in nice warm places like Hawaii. I'll even keep it away from the Tsunami's.:D

R A Wrench had a pretty bitchin' idea. Turbo Coupe motor, slammed, with a Fat Man ifs... Breath on that motor a bit, and it'd be a handful!

Heres what I did to mine! Built it with huge amounts of help from my buddies, put it on a ship for the USA, then drove it across the states and ended up on the salt!!!!
    Cheers,

  19. Bob,am I seeing a honey and oblivious to her wrinkles?Pinball Wizard is what it is, historical classic,Some of the diifferent looks didn,t even have the running pinball. That is sacrilege.I.d suffer the "blemishes" to keep the mural, even if it is passe ;)The first version was the best,by the way!!!

Here's the only pic I could find of Mickey Bray's Pinball Wizard (383 Mopar out of a Jensen Interceptor) in it's original panel painted incarnation. I dreamed of that car for years - Mickey sold it to Peter Frampton in 1976. Sadly Mickey died in 2006 of cancer.

I nearly traded Jimmy Senior a car for Puddle Jumper in 1975, which ran a 390 FE but he found a cash buyer. This gets me all nostalgic, thinking of Simon Lane's Speed Freak Fordson and John Baldacchino's Hot 'n Bothered - what happened to these cars anyone in the U.K.?

You can probably tell by my avatar which way I would go! Gasser all the way!

  23. Naw Street Rod big narley (is that a word?) hoops, circus tent paint job. . . NOT.

Gasser is the way to go. You could actually break the mold and go with the earlier '60s Gasser look as opposed to the later '60s look. Narrower cheaters for the street on Steelies skinny fronts perhaps a pair of Ansen Sprints or a pair of Creitz modulars.

Candy red over gold. Definately candy red over gold.

You could always cut the body down into a roadster pickup, change the screen pillars, fabricate a pickup bed, and a chassis, stick it all low to the floor and have some fun...

Oh, no wait, thats what I'm doing...
