Custom "vintage" plates for show use

Ok, I've searched the web high and low for someone that can make metal replica vintage licenses plates for show ground purposes only. Specifically I'm looking for someone to replicate an Australian plate (New South Wales) for my Aussie Falcon. Since I live in the US, I don't see where this should be a legal problem if I only want to use it for display at the car shows. I have found one site that claims to make US plates but when I have contacted him, he never answers my e-mails. So do any of you know of someone that can duplicate a plate?

Unfortunately, they only make the "Euro-style" plates for Australia.
