Saw it yesterday at setup for Detroit Autorma. The pictures posted are great but you've got to see it in person to really appreciate the origional build and the restoration. Congrats to everyone involved, you did a super job of bringing back one of the coolest trucks to ever be customized.

So, how did it go in Detroit? Any awards? Dale called my Dad and asked permission to have a couple mags call and interview him for background info on the truck. He got a call from one, but unfortunately doesn't remember what the name of the mag was [forgot to write it down]. Do you happen to know what the mags are that are doing features on the truck? I've decided to take a road trip with Dad to the Fresno show. Do you know if Gene will be there? Looking forward to seeing the truck and meeting some of you guys who worked so hard to bring the truck back to glory!

The truck did very well in Detriot. It won first place in it's class. It got a great looking trophy and a ton of praise from the crowd. We are very proud and can't wait to get Otto the next show. This weekend is The Ft Worth indoor car show. It's always a good time.

It was outstanding at Detroit. My boys voted it for "kids choice" in the Summit Racing booth they liked it so much.

  20. Thanks for doing such a great job with Gene's truck, bringing it up to Detroit and for being such nice gentlemen when we had a chance to chat at Autorama-you folks were just the nicest people and you deserve all the success you can stand!!

    All the best-Mark

    .

They were custom made. Gene guild the originals and we had to remake them from just pictures.

The centers are Winfield Custom senter capes but the outsides are hand spun aluminum disks. Polished and fitted with chrome bullets.

Well the FT Worth Motorama was a huge success! The truck won Best In Class and Outstanding Pickup. It was a true honor.

Thanks to everybody who came out. We had a blast.

That flathead sounds amazing! Everytime we fire it up the whole shop just stops and watches her move around our complex. It's almost unreal.

Yes, Dale is on his way to California now. Gary and a few of the guys will be leaving on a plane in the morning.

As for Gene, I'm sure he will be there. He always is.
