I'm not sure what's happening later on at night, but I will be going to Gusaline Alley in Royal Oak on Saturday night, possible friday. Any other places I should be sure to check out?

 

We'll be up there with the Effy. Can't wait.

 

We will be getting there saturday around noon.Do you think we should take the people mover or just try to park close.Any suggestions would be helpful.

 

I'd try getting into Greektown parking structure & using the "Mugger-Mover" over to the hall. It drops you off inside, so you don't have to walk in the cold.

 

What time does load in start on wed? We're leaving a little earlier than usual and may be in town before 5pm.

and if you park in one of the Greektown parking structures the parking is free. The one above Fishbones you get a parking ticket then after you return to the Greektown People Mover station from Cobo Hall you walk into the casino right there, find the validating machine and punch your ticket....free parking.

If you park in the Greektown parking structure on the other end of the street, that structure is free, no validating necessary.
There's some GREAT resturants, bars, bakeries, etc right in that area.

Showing your car at Autorama Show at Cobo Hall? Want to hop a bus with a destination of ididit in Tecumseh? On Friday the 26<SUP>th</SUP> we will offer a tour of our facility, lunch, and still get you back before your dinner plans. A charter bus will be waiting to pick you up at 11:30 AM, and headed to ididit at noon. We will serve lunch and tour the hot rod shop, and manufacturing, and have you back at Cobo by 4:00 PM Ken said “let’s Party!"<o></o>

The mugger-mover runs from the Marriott? If so thats def the ticket. Even if it is only 3 blocks.

 

I reminded my machinist/co-pilot that Cobo is this weekend.....He said "Great, we get to wake-up homeless people in the bathroom"

Ok I made it all the way here and what happens I blow a tire rite after the rainbow colored bridge. Don't they clean the roads here.
Well I made it here in ten hours and the ride only got scary when I got off on van dyke and the road seemed to just turn to ice. This is one weird place.

 

Me and a few of the Different Strokes guys outta Muskegon will be makin the drive over on Thursday.

 

The Canadian lads are coming Friday-looking forward to seeing everyone,been awile!We may even muster some Canadian beer to bring along!?

No, it's all you guys I want to thank, Larry and his crew put alot of effort into the show.

Everyone that takes the time to bring there car to the show and the clubs that work on kick ass displays for months to endure a weekend of late nights and constant partying, thats what makes this place so much fun each year.

I will be the first one to admit we don't have some of the stellar cars they have out west but we are a tight knint hotroding community that knows how to have a good time.

And I thank each and everyone of you.

 

I'll be heading that way very early Friday a.m. with "voodoo rod & custom", and a few buddies. We always look forward to this show. It gets you motivated after a long winter's nap. This year I had the opportunity to attend the GNRS for the first time. WOW.....the Detroit show has a tough act to follow, but it will not disappoint I'm sure.

 

I'm pretty sure I will be there on Saturday.

Is the meet and greet still scheduled for 3:00?

Hey all, I'll be heading down from Ottawa on Thurs. and going to Cobo on Fri. I've never been to Detroit, so I'm wondering about the parking situation. From what I've read there's a people/mugger mover that goes there and some of the stations have parking? What would the parking situation be like at Cobo itself on Fri. morning? Just trying to figure out the easiest way to get there.
