I put rear belts in my 54' cause of my son. Now the 46 no gotty. He doesn't like the 46'.
I don't really care if I go through the window, but him on the other hand. Now his momma on the other hand loves the 46' and she's old enough to make a decision whether or not she needs them.

Not trying to be a dick, just save you some time. This has been covered over and over if you do a search you should be able to find a lot of answers.

I have three seat belts in the cab of my 40 GMC just in case I have two passengers, and I have many times.
I used to run theR&D department and make casting patterns and molds for the crash test dummies and know the reality of what an unrestrained body is going to do when the vehicle it's in goes form 50 to 0 in an instant but the body doesn't stop.
You know, if your chest hits the steering wheel center at 35 MPH it pushes the sternum 4" into your chest cavity leaving only about an inch between it and your back bone? and that's right where your heart is?
and now your heart is one inch thick looking a lot like a pounded chicken breast?

One thing, in California anyway, if you put them in you then have to use them, and if you put them in they have to have the DOT approved tag, not old aircraft or sprint car shtuff.

    1) My Studebaker came with seat belts

    2) Putting new seat belts back in

    3) Why, because seat belts give you a better opportunity to live in an accident.

I won't leave home without them. Why? Newtons first law, aka "The seat belt law" or an object in motion tends to stay in motion.

would've died in a wreck when I was 17 in my mustang (being a dumbass of course) if I didn't have one on. Besides if you go with harnesses or something creative i think they actually add to the interior of the vehicle. Plus staying alive is pretty cool.

  20. I put them in my '37. Seat belts have saved my life twice. Yeah, you're damn skippy I'll put them in, use them, and not apologize to anyone for that.

You don't like belts, don't use them.

I wouldn't be caught dead in my car wearing seatbelts.

  26. Ever see a watermelon when it hits the ground ? Unless you have the mental capacity of said melon it should be not even a question.
Seatbelts save my life back when I was 19 otherwise I would have been a human projectile wrapped around a telephone pole. My rant for today, Rob!

I got seat belts because my life is worth something. That goes double for my wife and son.
I don't understand why anyone would not at least put lap belts in.
