Ok Alex, I'm starting to collect parts for my touring project. It'll be a 40's style banger or flatty powered highboy jalopy..."A" frame, "A" dropped axle up front, juice brakes, T rear spring, 16" steelies, bias-ply tires, etc. Those 'bones would be a great addition!

Not untill recently have we been able to run split bones, the Roads and Traffic department said they were too dangerous. BUT not we can run them if cleared by an engineer.
So I humbly submit my A RPU, I would love to swap to split bones from the 4 bars we had to run.

Here's my project, a 31 Chev Landau Phaeton. Its been a dilemna for a few years as I couldn't decide whether to rod or restore. My heart says rod, my old man says restore.

But then the HAMB came along!

Traditional with a mix of old will be the plan and I think these new wishbones will be the kickstart to finishing it.

Heres the 55 Chev inliner I plan to swap in, and a pic of the Chevy with the artillery wheels I want to use.

I'd like to be in. I'm starting a '32 roadster this spring. I only have a pair of rails at the moment (sorry no pic) but hopefully this key chain can get me qualified

workin on this 26 tudor sedan with a 50 ford v8.

in progress. have some home made radius rods on the rear and some pete and jakes rods up front, but i'd love to have a nice set of split bones to replace them with, as they just don't look right.

Why they would go onto this car, of course. Built in 1953 by Fred Gearhardt in Fresno. 1917 T Touring body, 1953 322 Nailhead with Dynaflow, 3 97s on a Weiand manifold, torque tube drive, 32 heavy front axle and 32 V8 rear axle. Sectioned 1949 Ford dash and wiring harness. Model A rear frame section and crossmember with twin tube space frame - period race car style - all the way to the front.

Am I too late? I'd sure Like them for my '30 Model A pickem up. Would definitely be nicer than the bent hairpins on there now!

Here's the car that I'd install them on. I have a drilled stock Model A front axle. I've already narrowed a '64 Pontiac rear. I'm using a Borg Warner Super T10 4 speed transmission, behind either a 301 or 292 (depends upon my luck in finding the .125 over pistons for my 283 Chevy). The wheels that will be used on the car are the one in this photo (real magnesium Hallibrands on the rear and aluminum copies of the kidney bean Hallibrands on the front. The front axle is not dropped and the front spring is not reversed. This car will run a "nose up" attitude - ala 60's style. The rear suspension is Model T rear spring and modified '40 Ford rear bones. A "nose in the air", bored out 283 Chevy engine, Borg Warner T10 4 speed trans, Hallibrand wheels, no heater, no radio, and all HOT ROD is this car. My new "DON SMART" floorpan was just completed 2-3 weeks ago. It's time to get started assembling this pile of parts that I've been accumulating for the past few years.
