I know there are a ton of pics showing a shoebox getting a hair cut, but I wanted to show mine. After hours and hours of planning I finally got it cut off! Still a ton of work to go! I think it worked out pretty well for my first time!
looks good! keep going! you have more balls than i do! i had a friend chop mine! i was too scared!!!!!!
that must be a scary thing to go thru, but at the end of it all its well worth it makes the car look way better!!! congrats!!!
It looks good keep on it is little diffrent from mine http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=410348&highlight=shoebox I like to see the end result
Thanks guys, The first cut was a little unnerving! I've had it on the road for two years now and knew it had to be chopped. I'll keep posting progress pics. Stefan T I've been keeping an eye on your progress, looks good!
Looks real good man. A lot of chops on thes have real strange proportions. I think it may be because they arent that big of a car. but it looks like you got it laid out real nice man. Nice Work
I started grinding the paint off of all the areas that are going to need welded together. I really want to grind off those ugly seams on my rear fenders! Has anyone done this, what am I getting my self into? I already have plenty of work to do before spring, but damn they look like crap!
Driver side B pillar tacked in this weekend. Started on the passenger side. Anyone elses wife spend Valentine's Day in the garage?
Finnrodder - 4-1/2" out of the A pillar After we got them wrestled where they needed to be, I wasn't going to let them move, clamps are my friend!
I thought it was over 4 inches chop from the A-pillars.My eyes didnt lie after all. Anyway, good luck with the build.
