I just opened up my Inliners International newsletter and I found out my old friend Dick Baty passed away in December. I saw him at a cruise night last summer and we had a nice chat. His 302 Jimmy powered '55 Nomad will always be one of my favorite cars. I remember reading about his car in the August '89 issue of Rod & Custom and falling in love with it. As luck would have it, shortly after it was in R&C, I saw the car at cruise night way back when. He was standing nearby and he heard me and my friend making over his car. He came over and we started talking about all things "inline" and we were friends ever since. He was always good for some great conversation, and he was always a big help with all my inline projects over the years. I'm sorry that I just learned of his passing now. He will be missed.
