Features GAS PEDALS....picture thread

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Kiwi Kev, Jan 2, 2010.

  1. Looks like a bracket for mounting it to the stringer on a boat.

  2. Anthony pedal is too cool!

    Here is another fabricated pedal in a dragster...

    Wow!! I have been looking for one of these pedals and never new there was so many to pick from. Question is, how many are still being made?

  7. Uh..yeah right, sure you can.........:rolleyes::D

  8. what would the left foot have controled? Got one from an old speed shop and debated modifying it to be usable as a gas pedal

  9. Probably just a foot rest.

  12. Looks like Moon Pedals arrived on the scene in 1956. Here is a press release from June 1956 Hot Rod mag'.......

    And an ad from August 1956 Hot Rod mag.....

  13. fitzee...Still being made are Moon (several versions), Ansen, Speedway and the 5 toe foot pedals and dimmer pedals. Maybe others.

    Here is a drilled out PAL pedal being used in a race car in 1953....

    I see some boat pedals, wondering if any of the big truck pedals were ever used. Some old Mack trucks have cool pedals.

  16. Anybody ever seen one of these?

    I just found this site...nice collection, I think i spoke to you at the chrr. The pedals are being repoed. Call Bill Klein he has my Lyndwood and he has the Number of the guy making them. 703 590-3132. Check out the new copy of Hot Rod Deluxe...page 20, almost looks like your picture....Bob Bilbow 570 823-0049

  22. Hi Bob,

    I'd be that guy that has been reproducing the dash, pedal and shocks for the last ten years or so. (Actually the dash came from our buddy Bob.) Bill's trip to Calif. caused a surge in sales. I have plenty of shocks and pedals but sold out of dashes (seems they fit nice in a Junior Dragster :rolleyes:). I'll have a dozen more dashes in a couple of weeks when we get back from Hawaii.

    Later,
