Just in at 1.00 calling for another 12 here in nearby Philadelphia.

  4. Been in the garage since 10 this morning. I had to come out and clear the path or I would have been snowed in. I am getting the seat mounts for my Suburban built though.

Just talked with my landlord. He shoveled off the roof of the garage yesterday. Our garage is a little over 100 years old. Glad he did it but we still can't get to the garage......I hate snow

    FWIW

Here's the official Schocharie Ridge snowstick, bottomed against the asphalt--asphalt that was clear and dry at sundown yesterday. Reading at about 2:15 p.m. Supposed to snow another 4-5 hours, I believe.

And I'm north of the heavy stuff.

I have a lotta relations within ten miles of the I-80 pileup in Clearfield. The news reports look like they're detouring eastbound traffic down Rockton mountain. If the hapless travelers aren't already scared shitless, the ride down off that mountain in this mess will do it.

Pretty nasty here in south jersey, about 20 min outside of Philly. No garage here, just watching my project get engulfed in snow!

  11. 4 years ago I had 36" on my deck in Cumberland, MD. That pretty much did it for me and snow. Since moving to Georgia, the biggest snow event we've had was less than 1/2", and gone by 2 in the afternoon.

Wimps! I plowed the drive this morning, fed the sheep and chickens then drove 18 miles through the snow to work-we were like the only vet hospital open in the area-good thing two since we treated 4 emergencies today-3 rat poison dogs and one dead-puppy-inside-an-infected-uterus Rottie. Then drove back home through the drifts. No time in the shop, didn't make a lot of money, but a satisfying day.

Drive carefully if you go out. (I'm jealous of you guys in the shop).
