I served in the Navy from 1966-1970 and must say I really enjoyed myself most of the time. I met a lot of nice people and still stay in contact with a few of them.

Junkfrodgy, I was in the 3/319 in '65 and again in '69. What battery were you in? What was your job? I was in FDC/OPs first half and ch of Firing Battery the second half of the '69 tour. Spent 20 yrs from 1960 to 1980, Three years with the 82d AB. They showed me the rest of the world.

ive been influanced by every vet to come back to this country and bring
    joy
    pain
    ingenuity
    enthusiasim
    ingenuity born of need
open minds to try things others have said couldnt or shouldnt be done
and the feeling of joy that returning home to friends, loved ones and strangers
brings to someone thats been in a situation that none vets have endured,
and to thoses who didnt return but watch us having a blast!!!!

ooooo rah and raise ur glass of what ever!!!!

hot rodding wouldnt be what it is if it wernt for them!!!

n im a young putz that never served, and i didnt have to cause others before me and currently did!!!!

makes me humble n always will be!

Thanks to all who served, are serving, sacrificed, and are sacrificing in honor and service to this great nation.

To all 'Nam vets, "Welcome Home"

Great grandfather - Civil War (wrong side)

Great grandfather - Lieutenant, Prussian Army ( immigrated to the US so that his sons wouldn't have to face mandatory conscription)

Son - Search and Rescue Pilot - USCG

    Ancient History:
    Sgt.
    S2, Divarty
    1st Calvary Division (AM)
    '69 - '70
Phuoc Vinh, Quan Loi, Lai Khe, Tay Ninh, Cambodia,
    and most points in-between

Proud that I served....wouldn't take a million dollars for the experience and I wouldn't give a nickle for another.
