    OK,....

I admit I threw a little jab on the first page (with a disclaimer and smiley face at the bottom :)),.... But here are the facts.

Like it or not back in the early days of Hot Rodding there were "Classifications of Hot Rods and "Shot Rods". Hot Rodding was in its infancy and exploding on the scene, The real guys were organizing and building fast & safe cars,...

They had to fight against the stigma left by the guys that were causing a lot of the trouble wanting to be a "look at me" I'm a hoodlum hot rodder too, wannabe's,..... the ones that were causing a lot of negative publicity, And almost got Hot Rods banned ! (no joke, a lot of towns and states were looking at legislation to forbid modification to stock automobiles, backed by the insurance companies)

I know you guys wont like this but, By the standards set by the founders of Hot Rodding,.. most of todays "Rat Rods" would have been classified as Shot Rods back in the day, and frowned on. Some wouldn't even make it up to the standard of Shot Rod,.....

Watch this movie, listen and learn,... you can't get more genuinely traditional than this !

  3. Have fun with it. Did you buy it ? What are your plans for it ? Maybe I'm in the minority but I see tons of potential with something like that as a starting point.

It's a great looking car to me, well minus the mail box. But I have seen a car running a Hudson sprayer too.

Get used to it. Unless it's a shiney 32 Ford coupe with a flathead and 1000 pounds of chrome and billet, expect to get shit on. :(

I happen to dig the look. Hope you find the owner.
