ovaltine gets nerfed...QUADS ADDED!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by negativeMatt, Apr 21, 2009.

  1. I LIKE it!
How about 5" lights with aome kind of fluted/ribbed panel(like '57 chevy inserts). I think the drawer pulls may be too big/busy.

Looks awesome! I think going with the 5 inchers would look killer, but either way, absolutely a winner. Great job!

Just what the front of that truck needed to match the "out of the box" back end. Keep posting the progress.

What about a radiator to fit that grille and keep the engine at optimum operating temperature?

    The nerf is nice.

The dual quad headlamp idea fits the car and with an engine-turned(Damascened) aluminum panel around the light would be really great. I'm assuming the aluminum trim plate would mount in the headlamp rim like the lens does.

Love the nerf / headlight bar. Thinking outside the box there, with excellent results. The headlights need to fill more of the space imo. Maybe a big and little light on each side?

Matt, Like has been said not enough rods use nerf bars now a days. It is an overlooked design element IMO. I agree with others that your design would look best with one big and one smaller on each side. Live the bed you came up with. Looking forward to the next chapter of "Ovaltine" !
