You can count me in despite the recent changes to Rule #13 (motors of Austalian or American origins). I will bring the Pugster down for a run.

    Hi
The motor is a slant 4 xc 99ci Peugeot with the Hemi styled head.

So i think this maybe one of the first 4 banger HA/GR to be raced?

If Tom & Dick would paddle by Minnesota on the way, I'd hop on board. Got my own oar too. Too bad my name's not Harry.:D

Good luck and good racing to you guys. I'm envious!

    Gotta go shovel snow now.:(

Nigel, do you have any pics of the front end set up of the first car?
Interesting set up the way the pic was taken.

Nigel, I'm talking about the black one. It looks like he has really long perch bolts from the spring down to the axle. I can't tell what is below the axle that the bolts are hooked to.
Maybe it is just the picture, but I have never seen a set up like that before, interesting.
And I hate to tell you, I have a bunch of pictures of your car also!!:D

  28. The 'Black Night' cars both have 'axle limiters' which effectively act like U bolts to limit the suspension movement. From memory their prefference is for the front end to bebasically rigid, but our definition of the rules ask for front suspension, hence the up bolt arrangement effectively gets them the rigid axle, but keeping suspension components. Not sure if it makes a difference to how they feel their cars perform, maybe they can chime in...

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

The setup on the front end of the car keeps the leaf in constanse compression . my father in the sixtys used this setup he calls it a stabliser . it has a plate on top of the spring with four bolts going down to plates under the axel . . as drefrew said we require front shocks with this setup u dont need shocks. my shocks move less then 1" . ran it without shocks and it was very stable . when i was running late last year the car through the top end was starting to get floatie in the front end (running at bout 102mph) came back to the pits put a feww more turns on the nuts to put more pressure n the string and the floatie ness whent a way.
Rej i will take some more photo's of it and try and get my dad to put a post up explain it as weel he is flatty slapper 67 on here
