does anyone know the diameter of the 324 valve springs??? i hear they are the same as small block Ford but i cant find the specs anywhere. anyway, also wondering what a recomended open/seat load rating, coil bind height, and over all lb/in. would be for springs paired with a sollid roller, specs: short duration comp ex timing 68-38 in timing 38-68 duration 286 lift .440 settings in.013 ex .015

    thanks.

do you happen to know the dimensions? how do the cam specs compare to mine? just want to cover my bases and make sure i get the correct springs that have enough tension to prevent valve float and banging in the valve train/lifters, and not to much tension that it causes undue cam or lifter wear.

    324 VALVE SPRINGS

    COILS 7

    ACTIVE COILS 5

    LENGTH FREE 2.33

    DIA WIRE .1875

    DIA INSIDE1.070

    DIA OUTSIDE 1.441

    VALVE OPEN 149-163 1.463''
    VALVE CLOSED 85 -95 1.829''

Your spects are in the park for a roller cam you list----coil bind iis safe -- check spring seat as you are larger dia than stock----be damn sure to use series 3 oil with spect CD/SF as this is the good stuff to protect pushrod ends from wear. CI -4 is the same spect -----easyier to spot maybe stock springs pretty weak as you can see ---any mild hop ought to upgrade springs let the rocket rev
