On page one of this thread? All I can see are 5 indivual posts numbered 1 through 5. There is Ryans original messsage, the a post with car 1, a post with car 2, a post with car 3, a post with car 4, and a post with car 5. After that it's just posts from us guys that wished we were there in person. lol. I'm so confused. Maybe it's because my membership runs out in 14 days and I don't have the $50 to renew right now. lol

There should be 2 votes one for those that have seen the cars and one for those that have seen only the pictures.

I Guarantee the outcome of the two votes would be different.

The pictures are great but they cant capture everything

When I dream of Hot Rods, #8 is doing a burnout past a neon green Civic.
Love that car, fake patina and all. Of course like everyone else, I would prefer it to be real patina but...
    Anyway-
Thanks Ryan for taking the time to do this.

I'm even less interested in it now I know its " Life imitating Art"

Specially since the Art doesn't really float my boat either...

Damn Ryan, ya da man! That was the problem. All that just to confirm that I did want to vote for #1 after all. lol... I love the gold RPU, but too much bling on it for this honor in my opinion.

amazing grouping of cars. hard choice. hats off tho the judges and the participants. after close scrutiny,# 3 just does it for me. i just dig the hell out of that interior, and the chain drive steering. cant tell if it's paint, or polished aluminium body. badass.

All of the choices are great cars especially the Phaeton, sitting right at the entrance. You walk in and say WOW.......

    But

I chose #2 and not just because Floyd is a personal friend but because the builder was awesome through out the entire build and the quality is just impeccable.

Been following the build through Floyd when he started collecting the parts in his garage. I spend at least a full hour jawing with him about it last night and he is just thrilled with it.

A big congrats to he and his family.:)

It might seem that way but talk to Floyd and the builder and all of the subtle custom touches become clear. I don't think there is an as purchased part on the car except for some Pete and Jakes hardware.

Frame mods grill shell lowered hood top pie cut to match and the list goes on and on and on.

Some great choices but I ended up voting on the one I could see myself driving from here to Central Texas without a second thought. I like the race car choices though. Probably one of the toughest to pick from set of cars I've seen on the net.

I looked at these cars for at least an hour and decided that for a purpose built HOT ROD I had to go with #5. If #9 hadn't been so flashy I would have voted for it. Same goes for the gold RPU especially since it has a '34 Dodge dash. Now #10 was pretty close except for the color choice of the interior which matched the engine block color. #8 too self indulgent, life should never imitate art.

My vote is #2, I would love to see that in the garage next to my 5W.
That thing is far from a catalog car. There is alot of time and effort put into it, you just have to take the time to look at it.

Whew! That was tough... ultimately went with #10, even though the upholstery pattern's kind of a sour note (a little too mid '90s Mercedes). Nevertheless, I love everything else about it, especially the blue & green color combo.

However, I see what you guys're saying about #1... damn... I don't know...
