so this is my 54, I put 53front fenders on it because at the time I felt that 53 grille surrounds looked better for kustoms, but now, eh...

has a MII from fat mans under it, chromed stock steering column and shifter. still 3 on the tree but with a 3spd/overdrive unit from a 58 biscayne.

the ol 235 has been worked over pretty good, head is milled .125, bored .60 over howard rough idle cam in it, block machined to a full flow remote oil system.

then she was painted HOK zenith gold with pagan kandy on top, then was pinstriped and finished of with a polished offy 2 pot with 2 carter yf's and a set of fenton headers.

s-10 4x4 rear with a 57 chevy drive shaft. rear was c-notched 8 inches and tunnel was raised accordingly.

she is not perfect but she's mine:)

Here's mine, not the best picture but that's what it looks like around here in January.....

I've got the mechanical work 99% done (235, 0.60 over domed pistons, 3x1 carbs, '3/4 cam' Isky grind, Fentons, Vertex Mag), now comes the interior and paint.

I've noticed a lot of these cars are the 'Sport Coupe/Business Coupe' with the small back window, mine included. It's funny, but back in the '50s & '60s I can't recall ever seeing one, all of the 2 doors were sedans, hardtops or converts.
