It's not going to be this way forever, but here is my Dad's 3 window.

Not painted gloss, but compounded base with the roof left faded.

It's OT but I've seen an 80's G Body Cutlass with a 442 style hood, gloss black, flat stripes on the hood, and flat 442 logos... pretty sweet...

A local shop just did a real 32 roadster gloss black then added a flat black SoCal swoop design. I thought it looked better all gloss. Most everyone else looking at it did also.

On a 56 210 I would go with Black and White, that's my favorite combo. I am not to sure the two tone black would look that good on it. Just my opinion.

there is a 210 2drhdt tha runs around at shades that is dark grey top semi gloss black below chrome looks pretty cool.and my buddy has a 33 3 wind cp that was solid gloss black.the paint bubbled on the truck/top ,p.o.d him so he painted the top above the beltline hotrod black with a fine green pinstripe seperating the 2. I THINK it looks cooler than hell.but i know this don't help with out pics.but i think it would look pretty coo lon th 56.but then again i'm a fool for 56's.

Thanks for all the pictures. It gives me an idea of how they go together anyway. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks it's a cool combo. Still may go black and white, but we'll see.

I just went thru your threads lookin for sum cars and read the one about
Barry swappin from the red stripes to the glossy flames.....man they gave
it sum hard time! I liked it better w/ the read stripes, but mostly w/ the
wires, but the car is so damn bad it could roll on white paint and still be
evil. BS apart your family rules! I totally love Derosa's cars, totally out
    there thinkin!

To add gloss flames to flat, it is better it use gloss black or just gloss clear?

Go to the 'who's building Mopars?' thread, to see an early 'Cuda, front fenders and hood in gloss, as well as gloss FLAMES across the doors. The rest of the car is flat. Nice touch.
