Mornin. my names Andrew and I'm 18. yup I'm a fresh cut but thats ok. i go to school at TSTC in Waco for an associates degree in auto mechanics, but thats going on hold after this semester because I am going to serve my country. i feel everyone who can should do their part. but enough of that for now, i love cars. i have since i can remember. i started my collection at 13. i own 4 cars currently. i'm about to sell off my 2 imports and just have trucks. 1984 Nissan 300zx n/a 1983 Datsun 280zx n/a 1990 GMC Sierra w/ a 4.3 v6 1966 Chevy 10 truck w/ a '76 small block 350 i'm an old gm guy at heart. before they became "Government" Motors. i am currently workin on buildin a diesel rat rod. just startin the blueprints. my Electrical teacher here at TSTC showed me this site. looks like a good place. Look forward to it.
Wecome from New Waverly, always good to see another Texan on here. BTW, shake your teachers hand for us for leading you to the H.A.M.B., or as we say the promise land.
You've been shown the path... now for the brainwashing to begin... diesel rat-rod? I think not, sir! We'll cure you of that.
More Texans...welcome and keep your head down if you wind up on a two-way rifle range in the middle east.
thanks guys! I sure will nail. yeah I noticed a lot of "hi from texas" newbs. what suggestions do yah have, strange?
Welcome from Louisville Kentucky! And thank you for going to serve for our awesome country! May the good Lord watch over you brother!
thanks again everyone. hey peckerhead! thanks rusty, its people like on here that are one of the many reasons i'm goin.
Rusty, welcome from up in Denton. Thank you for your service and I pray you stay safe! The term "rat rod" is not really a good thing around here.....call it a hot rod. Most people view rat rods as intentionally built to look like crap with exposed welds, excessive rust, and so on. Hot Rods are well built and are safe. Either way, good to have you here, and stay safe where ever Uncle Sam takes you.
Welcome from Kerrville. I agree there are diesels in all our futures and you are part of that future so you go for it. Praying for your safety as you serve; thanks!
yeah most people think shitty when rat rod is mentioned. im looking for that style, but like you said, safe and clean. just the open hood and fender style with a chop. and LTM, hopefully it'll be running by then. and thanks everyone!
