Back in the days when I was working I thought it'd be cool to have a scale model of my rusty old truck. Since it had been quite some time since I'd built a model and I'd seen what some of the guys on here are capable of I put out a feeler to see if someone was up for it. I got a couple responses and I picked a guy up in NY, Blitz, to have a go at it. Well, come to discover that they don't exactly make every model car & truck forever, so the hunt went to eBay. $15 or so dollars later and the newly acquired truck was shipped right to him. I took some 360 degree shots of my truck for him and off he went. The whole process took quite a bit of time, but I wasn't in any rush, so no biggie. Well, here's the final result next to the real deal. I think it came out pretty damn good.

    And the original for reference.

I highly recommend that everyone who has an old car or truck either tries this themselves or take advantage of the deep talent here on the board. It was a great present to myself and wasn't a ton of money. Thanks again to Willie aka Blitz for helping me out on this project!

All of this time I've let Mother Nature take care of this. Nice to know someone can do it faster.

the peeling chrome on the bumpers is an awesome touch. I'd ask the builder for sure but I'd guess it was just an exacto blade peeling it away.

At first I thought the peeling chrome was overdone on the model...until I saw the pic of your truck :) Its actually pretty bang on. Super cool, wish I had one of my 53 AD.
