Yeah...with your color you should paint the doors with the body....it can change on ya! Hopefully not though.

Didn't have the room to paint all the parts at once. I thought the same at the time but was told that pearls match up much better than metallic paint. It's the same can of paint and will match. If not fuck it! I'm doing the best I can.

    HotTurkey--Beautiful car and fine workmanship---
Not sure if this worth a mention or not but I have seen some fiberglass car doors "sag" over time if the door frame and hinge was not built strong enough. I had it happn to me and have seen many sagging doors at car shows.
There was an article in Street Rodder a few months back that showed a way to prevent this by putting a turnbuckle wire in the door and under the upholstery that prevented any sag. Just like a screen door.
Any others see this or know anything about sagging doors or if this should matter to HT?

We use that type of arrangement to pull the doors into shape on the T-series MGs. Although they're wood framed metal doors I would imagine a wood framed fiberglass door would react the same way.

  11. Hehe! your best looks just fine to me man . Great work and I'm bustin my arse to see it finished.

I always put a steel frame in the body and the doors, they won't sag then, The sagging you see tends to come from the use of wood or sometimes nothing other than the glass where the hinges fit.

Great work man. I'm enjoying this thread. The best I have followed.
I'd rethink those ungraded stainless acorn nuts on the radius rods, though. Castle nut and cotter pin or at least nylock nuts. Just me.

LOL! You don't REALLY expect us to believe that given your personality you are going to let something like doors being a different color than the body slide,do you?

Nope,my money says if that turns out to be the case you will repaint the whlle car.

What are you talking about? No one has given the guy a hard time or anything. IF anything this thread is full of praise for a job well done.
