possibly the ultimate, sickening, rich boy extension of the Rat Rod truck i have ever had the displeasure to lay eyes on.
there are better things the craftsmen paid to do that could have been up to..no doubt its well made, but fuck its awful.

  6. I want the Milk Truck next to it!

  7. Can imagine the V12 music from that engine with the governer gap set a little loose, with that exhaust.
I'd like to see it and hear it. It won't draw much appreciation here from most. Not saying I like all aspects.

Jay Leno owns a Blastolene built car, I guess that makes it cool for all those rich Hollywierd types. I can appreciate the work involved in building it but it "ain't workin for me".

Something tells me it'll go for big money, and the builders probably don't care what people think of it....Just my opinion

I live in the same town these beasts are born in. the guy who builds them started out poor and antisocial just like most of us a few years ago. he built the first one with a similar mindset as any of us would build something "a little different" on a whim. it was actually a pretty low buck deal. then came Leno, fame, perhaps even fortune, but the builder still enjoys local shows just as much as the next guy and is actually a very nice guy. he knows he just got lucky.

The thing sounds wicked... Yeah thats the only positive comment I have for it. I hate that truck! I hope it doesn't become a trend.

I too live close to where the other half of the Blastolene guys work. The truck is definantly not traditional. But it is a finely finished and well crafted thing. I have heard it, crawled all over it and taken some ideas away from it. Plus what's not to love about all the polished aluminum and stainless on that thing. The builder down here also is a down to earth guy who will talk to you like anybody else.

Saw this at SEMA a couple of months ago. A TV crew was interviewing the builder, who seems like a nice enough guy, but the root of the interview was calling his work sculpture. Smart guy, figured out how to make one of these a year, market it as art, and make a living.Like it or not, hes earning a living. Also note theres another for sale at BJ auction. Cant call him stupid.

That truck makes quite a few RAT RODS look good!

  23. I like it - beats the fork out of a Ford with a SBC in it! ;)

  24. Looks like several people are chopping up big trucks to make hot rods these days huh?

I've seen that a few times before. It's unorthodox but I kinda like it. I respect the work the guy put into it, and would love to hear it run in person. I also like that F-5 above.

  26. I like it. Alot. Thanks for the photo's, for those of us who will probably never see it in person. For anyone who's never stood next to a V12 Detroit at full song, "if I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand".
