  4. It has nothing to do with enjoying them or not, it has to do with a place for everything and repsect to what the thread is all about.

    Oh, nevermind

although not at a drag strip, this is Bill Shrewsberry in the L.A. Dart in the street in front of Keith Black's engine shop. As you can see in the background there is some guys in suits and ties who were visiting from Chrysler. One of the "suits" ask Bill, "so what's this car do?". Bill invited him to go for a ride down the street and told him to sit on the floor and hold on to the roll bar support. Pro photographer, Jere Alhadeff caught the moment...

Taken on the last run of Motion I. We were there at the 5 mile post as the car passed by. I have a very short old movies, but the clarity is too poor since we were quite a ways away from the place to see much with the old cameras of the day.

Sorry Mozooma, I am not mad, just disapointed, and I just went through this 2 weeks ago with someone else. I spend a lot of time trying to find new stuff to throw up here. I am just tired of the sarcasim about, that car is not moving, there is alresdy a thread for Pam and Linda already, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Get ovet it people, whether it is moving, sitting still, on a trailer, or in a ditch, has skis, or an iconic person to the sport, its all still related to the root cause of everyones reason for coming here every day.

If you do not like it just move on and keep your mouth shut. I am done and will post no more, to save the never ending arguement about the, this is not what its about thread stuff. And thank you to those who have contributed positively to this wonderful thread. And please do not respond to my reply to this. Because thats not what this thread is about, remember.

well. I'm sorry too. I, too, don't care if the cars are moving or not..I like 'em all, but photos of deer, and such...is a bit strange.
I have many of my personal photos on here, in fact hundreds of them and about half of them are cars not in motion. But they are all good depictions of the days in which I grew up in. And they are all photos that I shot myself...so they have never been published before, therefore not seen until now.
Jungle Pam and Miss Linda do have their own threads, but they belong here, too in my opinion, but it's not my thread, it's Skip's.
So, don't go away mad...drag related stuff is good...deer and wildlife and snow dragsters, not so good...
So, hang in there....we all love drag stuff...

Anyone in Ohio remember a 33 WIllys called 'WINCHESTER' ? I think it was a burgandy color, with gold leaf lettering. I'd love to see a picture of it. It was my favorite car back in the 70's. Thanks Rob

Has to be Dover Dragway, Wingdale, NY. Any S/S F/X pictures from the early sixties? Thanks.
