OK.. I'm biased, But this is my coupe barn/garage find. All I've done is wiring harness, engine/tranny, seat. I'm gonna drive the tires off it next summer the way it is. A year or two down the road I'll strip it down and build it the way I want it.

Heres my father in laws. It sat in an outbuilding at his farm from 1969 till we dragged it out a few years ago. Its now running and licensed for the first time since 1967- the old license was "farm only".

    Its got a 1950 8BA flathead, 1939 3 speed, 1940 brakes, 1940 front and rear axles.

i got a hi-res scan of the article and according to it the sedan has a 6" chop so you were close.

anyone know the tire size combo on the pinkees coupe? i'm guessing 7.50-16 in back but could the fronts be as big as 6.00? or are they 5.50's?

    Ken.
I don't know if the owner is on the board, but i met him at Columbus years back.i believe he was 16 years old and is pictured on the extreme right of the photo.
Real nice guy.I spoke to his (father?) and that little A has some very neat body mods.... extremely subtle,.. The fenders were sectioned 1- 1.5 inches.... hence, narrowing them. The body was cut on a pie angle,on the bottom of the body, starting from 2 inches at the base of the firewall/cowl area and going to 0 at the base where rear fender meets the body.
Pictures serve no justice to that car.

It was super cool.... never have seen it since..........

Well, mines off the trailer now and in the garage. I put about 5 miles/week on it. Still rockin' the original front tires even. not sure how much longer those are going to hold up. The super-old port-a-walls on the back are basically like rock hard frisbee's now, but they haven't come off yet! These suckers are fun when they're still old and original. I still can't decide whether to sell it or keep it. The last thing I have time/$$ for is another project.

The interior is kind of a custom blend of original 1940's green velvet that's been weather treated and turned into stone, and a nice chunk of used old shag carpet.
