I was sitting and looking at these pictures and I realized they were taken at dang near identical angles...then the stupid light came on and I had to try this...:D

Saw this prison bus in Hickory NC today. It had a I beam axle up front instead of someones A arms, kinda neat. Had to use my cell phone camera.

That's the only picture of that car I've ever seen. I believe it was built in Calgary Alberta in the early 60's. It was a sectioned bullet-nose Stude. It ran a flathead Ford V8.
I had the opportunity to buy the remains of the car for $100 in 1980 when I was 17 years old. I was still living at home and didn't have any place to store it. There wasn't much left but the body and frame at that point. Nobody else wanted it and it ended up getting crushed. :(

-That is, as I recall, a Diamond Rio, or REO. Something like that. Can't remember what year he said it was, sorry.

I shot the pic about two years ago at a local show n' shine, and took the time and a nice camera to make a good shot. The larger version is way better.

It's got Corvette suspension including the independent rear- '90s Vette stuff- with air bags, and a nicely built Chevy 350 with a Holley. Interior is very nice, though a bit modern- digital gauges, CD changer, etc.

Local fab-shop owner built it (or had it built- I expect he farmed out a lot of it) and drives it several times a summer.

    Doc.
