Who wouldn't like a good clear copy of that one!?
The "colorized" lobby card is interesting too.

The first time i saw that race scene in "Hot Rod" I was blown away... then I found a copy of Devil on Wheels and it was longer then the stolen clip... I couldn't believe it!

This is defonitely my favorite also!

Yes , this is another one of the lost goodies that is still fun to watch .

Gotta give the Cop credit for having balls for sitting on his bike in the middle of the road thinking he could stop a drag race ! You have to love those days !
I have to get that burnt Rubber set of movies !

I have it VHS tape somewhere-I actually taped it off late nite TV probably 20 years ago. The race scene of 4 Hiboy roadsters going at it is terrific!

Amazon has the DVD for sale-- I have a copy as well. I just don't know to burn it to YouTube...

  13. One of my all time favorites, written and directed by Crane Wilbur, starring Darryl Hickman, Noreen Nash and Jan Ford, who became quite famous later as Terry Moore.

The film was re-released in about 1960, I believe but had very little success.

that's an awful lot of tire squealin' for going basically straight down the road

  15. Some things never change. Looks just like the highways today. Some idiots blocking up front and you are stuck in the back trying to get by them. At least I always feel like I am in a race.

Did he say,"drag through all the gears?" In 1947? Who'd a thunk it.

That has to be my favorite lobby card art (along with the Spider lc) of all the movies featuring hot rods. Took me a while to get an original, but it was worth the wait.
