Allison V1710 in a stretched belly tank is the dream. Offy banger is simply awesome. I was talking to someone today about what you'd hafta do to adapt a R4360 into a belly tank. Lets just say it got interesting!

I'd like either a blown flatty with Ardun heads or a 354 hemi with lots of chrome goodies, a mild thumpy cam, and 4 strombergs on it in a row...

We couldn't decide - so we just did one of each - of course there is always room for more cars and more engine combinations...

  10. Being a diehard Chevy guy and a little partial to the Late 60s Trans Am series racecars it's got to be the all aluminum Chevy 302 "hemi". If not one of those then an all aluminum 427 ZL-1 Look at the pic on the left carefully guys... That's a smallblock.. Pic on the right is a ZL-1 427 but this particular engine is built using a Yenko manufactured block.

NHBandit has the right idea. But I've always wanted a 426 hemi and a 409.
If money is really no problem I'll take em' all.:D

    #1:
I'd like to try a Pontiac Super Duty Iron Duke engine. They developed it for the Fiero Racing teams (!).
There were special heads and maybe even an aluminum block. I wonder if that would make it an "Aluminum Duke " engine!
There were aluminum side and valve covers offered. These were probably patterned after the Mercruiser stuff.
All that stuffed into a T coupe would puzzle a few people!

    #2
A 4.3 V6 based on all the Chevy racing parts: Aluminum block, heads and the GM Performance parts two piece intake. There were a lot of parts developed for a V6 racing class. I'll bet you would win a lot of races by starting with "it is only a V6!"

I like them all, but a New Alluminum Ardun would do the trick .

  25. I love the nailheads,flatheads,y-blocks,W motors and all of the powerful engines I grew up with, but to me there is nothing to compare to the shear beauty and aire of performance as an early 392 Hemi all decked out with aluminum accessories and a blower with injectors. It would be my first choice in any vehicle if money were no object.

    A weber carbed Boss 429..
An 8-71 Blown Nitro burning 427 Cammer..
A twin turbo'd 1,500hp methanol injected, bored, and stroked 5.9L Cummins diesel with a p-pump and no computer shit..
An all aluminium injected, bored and stroked 401 AMC
A Ross Racing built aluminium headed stroker 394 Olds
A stroked and injected 320 Buick Straight 8...
My dads ol' 440 Interceptor, and the beat up Plymouth Trail Duster it was in...
A built 460 Ford, dual 4's, hogged out a bit, stroker crank, big lumpy cam, slammed in a Chevy II....
maybe a blown 6.2L Ford modular mill...
And the baddest 455 Olds Joe Mondello could build for me...
I'd finish my 223 up (.080 over, lumpy cam, have somebody make me a stroker crank, maybe a cross flow ally head, and a paxton blower or a big turbo...)

And then I think a turbo'd Sr20 in a T roadster would be cool, or maybe a 2jzgte.... Oh or supercharged mazda rotary mill...

I'll probably have more to add to the list... like DOHC all ally hemi headed, stroked, blown, and injected 2cyl John Deere (verticle dubuque style engine, not the horizontle waterloo engine)... Or maybe an Ardun style head on a flat head 4cyl Continental engine... Something about hopped up tractor engines is just cool...

For my 57 it would be a SOHC or dual overhead cam Y Block and then a Donovan Banger for my roadster

You can build a lot of really cool engines on a modest budget... maybe not an Ardun flattie with incredibley over-priced cylinder heads but $5K outta get you an early Hemi, Nailhead, Rocket, W-motor, early Caddie, Flathead, etc.

Money is ALWAYS factor for me but I built a blown 354...

I'm surprised no one has brought up the BRM V16. This engine has the sexiest, angriest exhaust note- Ever.
