Wow what a day! Doing the usual saturday morning garage sale runs around town today and came across this old lady and she was selling all the rest of her Husband parts that he has had since he raced Bonneville in the 40's. Sold the 34 3-window for a lousy $500 10 years ago but had this wheel and tire. The Tire is NOS and never got ran at Bonneville, the milk truck wheel too is in very nice condition. Now where am I going to come up with another Firestone Indy tire? HELP!

Your welcome to come take a look at the wheel and tire. I promise you will like what you see. I might be generous enough for the right person to come to me if they plan on doing something with a restoration project of a Bonneville can on donating the wheel and tire. I dont know, that just came to me and I would like to help someone out if it would go to a good cause.

I have to say finding something like that would drive me insane.

A great find but pretty much useless unless you can come up with another one like it. Like getting a smoking deal on a single E&J headlight.

Coker is making new "Indy" tires that could be shaved to look like yours. I wouldn't run one at speed.

Oh tell me about it! I am going to walk by that thing sitting there in the garage everyday now and trying to find another Tire is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I know they are out there but who and where are they?

Now what I cant wait to see. The lady told us when she moves out of her house in the next month, she kept all her husband Bonneville memorablia and pictures back from the 40's. Cant wait to see what 34 3-window he drove at Bonneville. I will definitely post those unseen pictures.

I say contact the good people at Universal Tire and see if if they could use that tire to make a mold off of it and start reproducing that side wall and tread pattern on new rubber. Awesome score

Universal Tire, ok thanks! I gotta remember that so I could give them a call on Monday. I would gladly supply the tire to allow them to make a mold. Thanks again! Until then keep your eye out for an original one. Finders fee!

Yep, put a clock works in the center and you have one nifty conversation piece of a shop clock.
